Getting Chickenpox vaccination
Chickenpox is a highly contagious infection caused by varicella zoster virus. It is spread through coughing, sneezing and direct contact with someone who has the infection. Most children get it at some point before the age of 10, and occasionally adults can too.
The main symptom of chickenpox is a rash of small, itchy red spots that fill with fluid, then dry out and fall off. The rash can show up anywhere on the body and usually the skin makes full recovery. Symptoms often start with a mild fever or headache and tend to appear 1-3 weeks after exposure.
